Review on Sceptre E275W 1920 V1 Frameless LED Monitor: Wall Mountable with Pivot Adjustment and HDMI Connectivity by Brandon Philemon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good inexpensive monitor 1920x1080. However the colors are not very good and DVI is FALSE.

THIS MONITOR DOES NOT HAVE A DVI PORT. This doesn't usually bother me, but I bought it as a third display and the third port on my graphics card is DVI. So I had to find some spare cables and swap displays a bit to hook up this monitor. This monitor has 1 VGA port, 2 HDMI ports, 1 audio input and power supply. The colors on this monitor aren't great (all the blacks looked very purple to begin with) but I don't mind as I bought it as a third display so I really only use it for windows like file explorer and spotify, colors that do not require accuracy. I also followed the suggestion of someone who answered the question above and opened the Nvidia Control Panel (obviously only works if you have an Nvidia graphics card), navigated to Monitor Resolution and changed the Color Format to Full Dynamic Range RGB. That helped a lot and with a few more minor adjustments to brightness/contrast etc it's usable now. A few other people complained about the inability to tilt the monitor, but I had no issues with this and a great deal of flexibility with tilting up and down. I'm using the original stand, so I can't comment on the mounting mechanism (or lack thereof). Other notes: The monitor comes with a power cord and a VGA cable. Stars because it's a pretty good monitor for the price. I had to deduct two stars for the lack of a DVI port and one for bad colors. But if you're just looking for an additional display and color isn't a priority, this is a solid choice.
