I'm a serious grinder and have a TMJ. I grind so hard I snapped every molar in my mouth and broke 3 of them. Crowns are expensive, but if you slip an uncomfortable mouthguard out of your mouth while you sleep, it's difficult to keep your teeth. I had a hard, bulky maxillofacial resin mouthguard, but I was never able to wear it. He tried to fix it several times but I either woke up with him underneath me or found him thrown across my room a few weeks later. I tried so many over counter top and bottom guards but I had the same problem. Then my molars started cracking and breaking. Unfortunately, before I found these guards, I started pushing my top front teeth forward. These Dentek Pads are very light and do not cover the teeth. They are designed to be worn on lower teeth but I just flip them over to make it more comfortable for me. The pads are semi-rigid with an adjustable soft plastic arm that goes across the front of the teeth. Now I can't grind my teeth anymore! problems are solved. Thank you Dentec!
