4+ years and still valid. We use this as a driveway alarm to alert us when a person or vehicle enters a property. The sensor is located about 600 feet from two paired receivers in different parts of our home. One of the receivers is actually in the basement and still picks up the sensor signal perfectly. The sensor has never had a "false alarm", but deer and other animals regularly pass in front of the sensor and are triggered. Also, the spider decides to settle in a hole right in front of the sensor once or twice a year. its movement sometimes triggers the sensor and/or it forms a web that partially blocks the sensor. The outdoor sensor unit has been installed on a direct weather pole for over 4 years and is still working great. Incidentally, the sensor still runs on the original set of AA lithium batteries when it was first installed in 2013. Lithium batteries are more expensive but are not affected by extreme temperatures and seem to last a very long time. I have used these Energizer batteries and would definitely recommend them (Energizer L91BP-8 Ultimate AA Lithium Batteries (Pack of 8)). As a result, this wireless sensor turned out to be very reliable and quite durable. Would recommend it to everyone without hesitation!
