As other reviewers have said, keep an eye on the YouTube video. I had to look at a few as I had a newer system with a different cable layout. Overall I'm happy with the end result. Over a year ago my Wii U screen broke and I sent it to Nintendo for a replacement. They charged me over $100 but I'm usually too scared to fix things myself so I just paid. When it broke the second time I couldn't afford to ship it again so I decided to take a chance and buy this kit. The kit includes a "new" LCD screen, a new digitizer and two screwdrivers to help. You take your Wii U apart. I say "new" because the screen had fingerprints and a few scuffs. I suspect there was also a piece of plastic placed over it for protection, but the plastic looked like it had been used a few times AND it had pen marks on it! I was very angry but I used some camera lens solution and a fibrous cloth to pre-clean the screen and all traces were gone. My digitizer didn't break, so I was able to put it on a new LCD screen with no problems. If you're buying this kit or something similar, I recommend three things: 1. Pay attention to where all the screws go. I accidentally put two in the wrong place and had to take it all apart again.2. Have a second person available when repairing a Wii U. There are many flimsy wires and straps that get tangled easily during assembly, so it's best if one person holds them while another screws them on.3. Use a screen cleaner and a lint-free cloth to clean your new LCD and/or digitizer. Although the product is not damaged, it does not mean that it is not clean.
