This is a good camera but not for $160. This is the second time I have bought this camera as the first failed miserably. I have expensive, high-end video and audio equipment, but I needed something "consumable" to capture long time-lapse scenes, and this seemed perfect. A little high price for a consumable but better than a $2500 DSLR. It has a good picture if you set the quality to maximum. Night vision also works well (and works during the day for clearer opportunities). But if you leave the thing on for just a few minutes for slow motion or normal video, the brightness fades in, dims and then falls into a high-contrast darkness. , over and over again about once a second. Very distracting and impossible to observe. I went through the return window as it didn't work that well for the first few weeks of testing/use. I turned it on 5 times and it's a semi expensive broken toy. like it's the last time. FYI: lens hood and "stabilizerโ are useless tricks. The remote control will not work more than 10 feet away. An amplified microphone only amplifies the noise, keep it away from the camera. They have the makings of a decent toy/utility camera, but lack quality control.
