Nice high speed nvme drive but gets hot!

If you're using a high-speed USB-C cable and your laptop or desktop supports USB-C 3.1 or 3.2, you can achieve read and write speeds of 450-480 Mbps, but be warned, this device gets very hot! And probably shouldn't be used to permanently write large files! reading is ok May 2021 Update: It's been around 6 months since I ordered this drive and I also bought an additional 250GB drive. These drives are now my favorite portable SSDs after the Samsung T5 workhorse, the WARM is still a HUGE issue and one of the things I've tried that has had some success is a USB portable fan blowing directly onto this drive, as well some of my other high temperature USB peripherals. This might not be the ideal solution for everyone, especially if you're going to be using this attached drive like a laptop, I'd just say that if you're using this heavy-duty drive, maybe you have some sort of aluminum cooling pad or something like that will heat up to the point where read/write speeds will slow down. For gaming it was fairly reliable, however as I have an old desktop PC I haven't tried running any of my AAA 3D games on it (like Far Cry 5 or Battlefield etc) but if you have a newer gaming system it will a 3.1 or 3.2 port you should be able to do this without any problems. Just be aware that under heavy use this drive will get hot (like I said)!
