Review on 🚲 Convenient Trunk-Mounted Bike Rack by Hollywood Racks Express: Easy Transport & Secure Storage by Jermaine Shuster

I have a new MTB this year and need a rack for my 2014 Ford Fusion. Instead of getting 1 bike rack holder, this one turned out to be the best of all racks. In the end it is, but it took some work on my part. First, the hooks are metal but coated in hard plastic. I wasn't worried about them scratching the paintwork, but I was very concerned about the effectiveness of the hook itself. After installing it on the trunk, I felt like they might bounce off the bike when I hit it encountered a bump. The hooks on the underside can do the same, and the muffler is right there and can melt the belt. Also, everything on the car's bumper is plastic and will most likely bend - so I got creative. Suitcases collected and trunk opened. I then took the top straps and routed them over the top of the lid and into the trunk itself and hooked them to the top of the inside of the trunk. Then I closed the trunk and buckled up. After that, I opened the trunk just enough to get the bottom straps in, closed the lid, and then tightened the bottom straps. Tighten the top straps and gorgeous! The trunk sits firmly on the trunk and doesn't move at all. The foam supports are thick enough to make good contact with the surface so it doesn't move. Well, the rack isn't designed to be mounted, but it works great. The next day I drove 350 miles on the interstate at 75 mph and all was good but I recommend getting extra velcro straps or elastic cords to keep the tires, wheels and pedals from moving. The rubber bands that hold the bike to the frame are thick and strong. I highly recommend using a center strap to keep the bike level so it doesn't "float" when picking up speed on the road. One more thing, and that's just my opinion. This is a bike rack for 2 bikes. Now 2 pure road bikes fit in perfectly. 2 MTB but? I think it will be very difficult, especially when it comes to newer models. I had to move the mounts to fit my 2015 Trek Superfly and I don't think I can fit another MTB on the rack. You can try, but I think it will be difficult. All in all, this is the best trunk Revain has to offer.
