I've used mesh razors my whole life, and after trying the rotary system, I went right back to them. The rotor weighs less but is bigger. Reduced noise from the rotor. Mesh facilitates sanitation. Though a rotor is more practical for me due to its wider coverage, a mesh provides a closer shave. Furthermore, the rotor causes me severe itching, and the razor's rapid wear and tear is understandable given its design (many moving parts). This is one area where the grid system excels. You just need to shave once a week, but the rotor will thank you for the extra length of the shield. No more than two or three days off the grid. from 09/06/19 The length of time required to shave increased to the point that the blade nearly stepped on it. I used to go five years between changing the nets, but now I have to replace them every year since they cost nearly as much as the razor. It appears that this is the intended function of the razor every year. My previous score of 4 is now a 2. I'll have to go back to using the rotor.
