Review on Satechi 2-in-1 Headphone Stand with Wireless Charger (ST-UCHSMCM) by Adam Kowalski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

I must say right away that before buying, I knew that this charging stand was designed for apple devices. But for me it was more fundamental in terms of the headphone stand. The stand looks spectacular, high enough so that you can hang your headphones and charge your phone. But when the headphones are hanging, it is not very convenient to get to the phone. Plus, the second inconvenience is that when the phone is lying, the percentage of charging and the presence of notifications are not very visible. Still, when charging is vertical and the phone is on it, it is more convenient. And in terms of putting / taking the phone and in terms of tracking the level of charge / notifications. But in any case, the stand is very convenient in terms of not only storing the headphones, but also charging them. Plus there is a cable holder through which the headphones are charged. No cable management. Another issue is that this holder rotates quite easily. I had to stick a small piece of double-sided tape on the back so that it would not move out. I know that you could buy some alternative gaming headphone stand, but they all have USB inputs in the front, and this stand has almost no visible cables in the back. Well, of course, the main point is that there is no support for fast wireless charging for android devices. Tried with different power supplies, and cables, etc. None. My wife's iPhone has fast charging, androids don't. Fortunately, there is another wireless charging, so it was not a fundamental point. The final touch is that, as for me, for such money one could put a charge in the kit. And be sure to keep in mind that in order for there to be fast wireless charging, you need a 20W power supply. (in the instructions and in the description it is, but you never know who will miss this moment). I summarize. The stand looks expensive and rich. Apple growers will appreciate it. Well, if just as a headphone stand - ok. Android owners - consider the lack of fast wireless charging.

Pros
  • Nice appearance Cable holder
Cons
  • Does not support fast wireless charging for Android devices For that kind of money you could put a power supply
