The best I could do was move the handle on the front panel all the way to the left. This solved the problem of unfinished holes at the end. The machine punches 19 holes so the plastic combs didn't work for me, but the extra length could be cut off to use. For the price you really can't go wrong. You even get a 2-year guarantee. Some people found this machine difficult to use, but that's because tying takes some practice no matter which one you get.
