Review on Altra AFW1923G Womens Kayenta Running Women's Shoes by Lakeisha Butler

Revainrating 1 out of 5

There is no integrity of this shoe, buckles on the heel.

On a run these shoes bent on the heels and caused blisters. I wore a lot of minimalist shoes and hoped that ALTRA (imagine it actually being a "foot-shaped" shoe manufacturer) would be the best of all worlds. But this shoe has no structure! In fact, it's just a fabric sewn to the sole. As such, it flexes in the heel and tends to look sloppy. Altra used to make nice, lightweight yet durable zero-lift road shoes, but then they narrowed down the design (so much for the shape of the foot). The trail version of the Altra Lone Peak is amazing, but I wish they built an accurate model. The same shoes, but without the thick profile, for road running (while retaining the width, structure and incredibly comfortable insole).
