Hope for my melasma

Sorry in advance for the long review but this is a big deal to me. I started developing melasma about 10 years ago when I was on birth control pills and even after I stopped taking them the dark spots didn't go away. I also tried hydroquinone therapy a few years ago but I was sensitive to its harshness and it made the condition a little worse rather than better. I've been working from home for the past few years, but I've had to find another job where I have to go somewhere every day, and the dark spots on my cheeks and my "mustache" that isn't from makeup was embarrassed. . In the past few months I've started looking for more natural treatment options and thought I'd give them a try. In my research, I came across a lot of clinical studies that mentioned several different compounds that have been scientifically proven to help many patients with melasma (niacinamide, azelaic acid, arbutin, vitamin C, and kojic acid were the most commonly mentioned). , usually used in combination with medium glycolic acid peels for faster results). I'm a scientist and seeing these products work in a real scientific study gave me hope that they might actually work for me too. I use (and love) Cos de BAHA Peptide Serum so I was sure their other products would be of the same quality as well. I ordered the niacinamide, azelaic acid and vitamin C serums and applied the C first and then mixed the niacinamide and azelaic acid. I skip vitamin C in the morning but use the mixture morning and night. I also did a glycolic exfoliant at home (30% from Instanatural, but I just bought 50% from another brand waiting for it to hit) and religiously applied SPF 30 (zinc oxide) physical sunscreen. It's only been a few weeks but I'm starting to see some results. This is a HUGE deal for me. Melasma is notoriously difficult to treat, but if anything helps, a "combination therapy" of several different approaches at the same time usually yields better results than one product alone, so while I can't attribute all of the results to one product, I do writing this review so other melasma sufferers can see what worked for me, so they can benefit from my little experiment and see the results for themselves.
