Tried a lot before to restore a DSL connection that was working for 5 years and suddenly crashed. New router (same model), new cables, surge protector, no surge protector, different laptops, different ROKU box. I considered passing IP through using another router in front of the AT&T router (don't ask me how to do that because I ended up not having to). Then I noticed that the only thing I hadn't changed was the DSL filter/splitter that connects the broadband cable on one side and the phone cable on the other. Thought I'd try the last one, and if that doesn't work, either try IP pass-through or give up on AT&T. It worked! ROKU is streaming non-stop again. Other computers in the house are connected and we can all surf the internet at the same time.
