Review on Reliable OTC Wrist Thumb Splint Support Neoprene: Enhanced Comfort & Stability by Flavio Scarola

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not what I was looking for

After initial recovery from a cruciate ligament tear in my left thumb (7 weeks in a cast, 8 weeks in a removable rigid splint and 11 weeks OT) I was looking for a brace that would can support my thumb but would allow movement of my wrist. I am very active in sports (swimming, yoga, pilates, aerobics, water aerobics, weight training) so I needed something to wear during these activities. The CHAMPION neoprene wrist/thumb brace didn't have the support I was looking for. I wore it once during aqua aerobics class and to get support from this item I had to adjust the tension to such an extent that my arm went numb. This product would be great if it had support bars on the sides and top of the thumb.
