More like 10-15 feet outdoors. in the shade.

I need to fly the BS flag on the 150ft range claim. I used it outdoors last weekend. more like 10 feet. I had to find a straight line to walk in front of my house. The front of the house faces north so I was in complete shade. The longest span of the track was 30 feet. I held a piece of white paper to get a better look at the green laser line. I started about 2 feet from the laser and then kept moving. At 10 feet away, I had to move the paper to make sure I was reading the incredibly faint…

It's not bad that I can't use it, but it's not great either.

I am a home user and use it to clad exterior walls. The green laser is good, although in direct sunlight it's only visible at about 4 feet from the device. In dark shade or at dusk it is visible over 40 feet. I don't know if I have a defective one, but the only way to turn it off is to open the battery compartment. Pressing the power button turns it on and then only toggles horizontal/vertical to mount it, but doesn't turn it off as described in the oddly written manual. The pendulum level…

Super easy to use. suitable for line laser

14 years as general contractor. I have had several large lasers. None of them are visible during the day without a laser detector. It's the same with this laser. If you think you're seeing a laser without a detector outside in daylight, you're wrong. That will not do. This straight line detector is great. Works perfectly indoors. I am very happy with it. I used it to do an wheel alignment on my truck. I had to do something quickly as I had just fitted new tires and all the cam shops had been busy for more than 3 weeks! • Some people have said they cannot see the line when used outdoors. We did a lot of research before deciding to buy this new instrument. Convinced that a green beam laser was the way to go, the cost and mixed reviews made buying it out of the question.
