14 years as general contractor. I have had several large lasers. None of them are visible during the day without a laser detector. It's the same with this laser. If you think you're seeing a laser without a detector outside in daylight, you're wrong. That will not do. This straight line detector is great. Works perfectly indoors. The green laser is super accurate and very bright. The laser will flash on adjustment to let you know it's out of spec to ensure an accurate line. The magnetic base is a very nice addition and well thought out. The magnets are strong enough to attach to drywall screws hidden in drywall or to a corner molding at any outside corner of an interior wall. It uses easy to find and cheap AA batteries.
