I was skeptical of this product due to some of the reviews about de-lamination. But the directions are specific. Keep it out of the sun if not installed on the water. We made a simple 2x4 rack on our wood fence to put this and the 16foot intex rack on when not in use. Simple rigging of a tarp cover to keep direct sunlight off it and it’s stayed in perfect condition. When rolled up you can see why in direct sun it would get very hot and the plastic bubbles would over-expand and pop. It does hold heat in overnight and in sunlight definitely warms the water. I would guess we get two weeks additional use on each end of summer from the cover. Take care of it and it should last multiple seasons. Side note we use a saltwater chlorinator which is a little less harsh.
