Small but works well where I need it

I think I bought and returned 3 wall lights or pendant lights before settling on this little gem. I painted the lampshade turquoise (I taped the hole in the top of the lampshade and the brass around the base to keep the white in the lampshade from staining) and painted the bracket hammered bronze (originally black) to get the look I wanted to obtain. I bought an outlet with a switch to turn on the lamp so it's easier to turn on and off. You can see the switch on the side of the bedside table. I also have a paintable cord strip (which I'm going to paint to match the wall) because I didn't like the black cord on the light gray walls. It was a process but I'm so happy with the end result, at least I will be once the cord stripe is painted the same color as the wall. These pendants are small but perfect for the space I wanted to use. They are easy to assemble, no instructions required. The Edison bulb looks great and really makes this little lamp shine. I have another fixture for a second pendant light that I plan to use in my spare room after painting it and a lampshade that matches the decor in that room. If the color of the lamps doesn't suit your space, you can match them to your decor. Spray paint has become my favorite decorating tool.
