Review on ⚡ Reliance Controls THP103 AmWatt Appliance Load Tester/Plug with Ammeter and Wattmeter - Blue by Chris Willis

The first screen unit ordered did not light up properly. Exchanged for a second one. Seemed to work well BUT when tested against another competing brand both differ significantly on the watt scale. I don't know who to trust right now. Both have been used on a coffee bean grinder of known power, and both have shown different readings on a coffee bean grinder of manufacturer's stated power (which can also be tampered with - who will you trust?). I think in this day and age such a product should simply be tested and shipped with a traceable certificate of calibration, but I could be wrong. I would be more than willing to pay a premium for something that is known and proven to be correct. Even if this device is/isn't accurate, it might still have a place in a toolbox for some, but not for me.
