Prerequisite for using the SAE connector.
If you use solar or other 12V car batteries, the SAE connector is extremely popular and easy to use, although it's also easy to reverse. These 'cigarette' type adapters give you another way to connect to a power source. They are well made but average in use. They are not rated for high currents, but are excellent for 10-15 amp requirements.
