Good quality and well finished. I can't be sure it's "100% lead-free" as advertised, but it doesn't have much of the audible ringtone associated with lead crystal. Liquid leaching of lead from glass only becomes a problem during long-term storage. You can't leave wine in this thing for more than a day or two as it's open and doesn't close. I used it at a party recently and many guests raved about both the look and the ease of pouring. It's a lot nicer than using one of those aerators and a lot quicker than letting an open bottle breathe for an hour. It pours better than my other carafe.
