This laptop stand is the best I've ever had. First, it has more adjustment points than any other stand I've had. The main arm is adjustable in any position, from collapsing close to the base to almost fully extended. Once this lever is adjusted, the stand that the laptop rests on adjusts at a wide angle, from lying flat to almost vertical. The base has small silicone pads on each corner to prevent slipping and also to protect any surface you place it on. The part of the stand that the laptop rests on has a large open area to prevent heat build-up. Finally, the whole mechanism rotates on the base. For example, if you want to show something on the screen to a nearby colleague, simply rotate the stand instead of lifting the computer or inviting it to look. Finally, and most importantly, all adjustment points stay where you stop them - no more computer or monitor stands slowly collapsing! But a word of wisdom, you have to pull your hand and stand very firmly to adjust the stand. At first I thought there was some kind of locking mechanism preventing them from lifting, but turns out I just wasn't pulling hard enough. It's very reassuring that the adjustment mechanism is strong, won't loosen over time and won't lose its position. We got my wife's laptop stand a few weeks ago, but it required you to twist the locking collar to tighten and then loosen it to adjust. The angle of inclination was also not regulated on it. She's jealous of my position!
