My humidifier hasn't worked in years. I couldn't afford to call in a furnace specialist. Eventually I took a closer look at the system and concluded that the problem must be in the solenoid. I took the old one apart, tried to clean it, as some said - it worked for two hours, then it started buzzing loudly and died.
