Easy to install and remove; good overall quality

This is a good system. Easy to put on, easy to take off. However, I highly recommend installing them at home to get a good fit and get familiar with the installation as they didn't fit exactly as the instructions said. The instructions asked me to remove one cross bolt for my tire size, but I found I had to remove three of them to install the chain. The chains will self-tension as advertised, but drive about 30 feet and check again. I put them on twice to make sure I can do it efficiently and I can tell you that these necklaces are much easier to put on and take off compared to traditional necklaces. I have a 2003 BMW 325i (sport package) and my winter wheels are 17" (with Pirelli Sottozero 210 Series II 225/45/17). This chainring system doesn't touch the rim, so don't worry about damaging the wheels. had to use a shorter screw with a red spacer. (My kit came with a longer screw and a larger spacer, but that's trivial to change.) Many of you may not like the instructions. First, look at them and trust me, just go through them a few times and they will find them useful, especially if you can get your hands on chains Chains and Tools Chains fold up easily and store in this case you will supplied with plastic bags (to carry them wet if you actually use them) and a pair of gloves, but you can store in a suitcase a set of work gloves and maybe some garbage bags; the included plastic bags and gloves don't last long. Update: I just tried them yesterday in real winter conditions. We stopped in the area of our home mountain as the roads were terrible. The chains went on and off just as easily as they did in our driveway. Make sure you place them on a flat surface and let them roll back and forth (slowly) about 20 feet, then get out of the car and check them out. I found that I had to adjust one of them to allow the chain to slide all the way down the center of the bar. I drove forward again, checked them again and they were fine. I didn't go faster than 35 km/h (or about 22 mph) and the tracks ran fine for 10 km. After we got home I rinsed them in the sink with warm water to wash off all the dirt, dried them with an old towel and let them air dry a bit, then just put them in theirs for next time Pocket.
