I put them on my bike and they worked without any problems, when I tightened them I tightened them without breaking the clasp and it is good and firmly presses my brake line to the frame. I used a different kit on my friend's bike for the same mechanical to hydraulic brake conversion, but when we tightened it the fastener broke before it could wiggle in the frame anymore. The only difference was my bike was matte with a rougher finish and his was a well polished, nicely painted bike. The lesson is to give these things a bite to eat if you want them pulled up. The clamping force of fasteners is not sufficient in some situations.
