Review on Scotch Brite Dishwands Replacement Kitchen Cleaning by Richard Gonzales

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very aggressive dishwashing sponges; Not 3M quality.

Green sponges filled with abrasive particles. Use on stainless steel cookware will leave scratch marks. This quickly ruined the polish of a very good stainless steel knife. Don't even think about using them on plastic items. Also, the first time the pad was removed from the handle, the locking tab broke off. I've been using this 3M product for a long time and I don't remember ever having a break like this. The gray plastic molding is now some kind of brittle plastic. The handles look different too. I don't remember the ones from a long time ago looking like the current ones. Surface features ("Scotch Brite") appear blurred, like melting ice. Now they are blow molded from thin plastic, much like soda bottles. So obviously there are quality control issues.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
