Review on 🥤 Versatile 68 Ounces Glass Pitcher: Ideal Hot/Cold Water Carafe, Juice Jar, and Iced Tea Pitcher with Lid by Melissa Mcintosh

I liked the quality construction of this jar but didn't like the smell coming from the rubber O-ring. I noticed that the smell even permeated the water I kept in it. So I decided to first remove the rubber o-ring entirely and put a stainless steel cover over the open hole, which I held in place with plastic wrap. It worked well and when I poured water into the jar with the lid off it flowed nice and fast and was easy to control despite the lack of a spout. Then I later decided to reattach the rubber ring by first inserting it into a sandwich plastic bag and storing the excess plastic in the space inside the lid. This also worked very well. Just in case, I covered the opening of the jug with a piece of plastic wrap and then put on a lid that completely seals the water inside to keep fridge odors from getting into the jug. Now I am very satisfied with the product. I've noticed that other similar products have also had complaints about odors, even with the white ring they used. I would have given a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the smell which is probably unavoidable but at least I solved the problem and it works for me.
