It looks good, and puts out a decent amount of light.Went with the 3500K color temperature. To avoid hurting night vision, we did NOT go with the 6000K color temperature. If you are really concerned about this, you might want to go with the 2700K color temperature.However, for 3500K, they seem more blue than expected. Since the package itself has no specifications on it for Color Temp, how do I know I got what I ordered? Obviously, I don't.Since we only needed one bulb, wish there had been an assortment, so we could have tried the different color temperatures.This style of LED only puts out light on one side. This is an advantage in applications where light from the other side would be wasted by going into the fixture instead of the vehicle.I also had some trouble putting it into the socket. But I measured the OEM bulb and the LED and in my case, the LED was actually thinner, not thicker as others reported.I think this was due to the following:Glass bulb was more rounded and the end, so tended to push the socket contacts apart instead of catching on them.Glass was slipperier than the rough finish on the PCB of the LEDs.The solution was to take a couple of stokes of a file putting a smother and tapered entry edge on the LED, Also a couple of strokes to knock the width down slightly. And to use some silicone diametric compound to make it slide in easy.The application was a 2011 Ford Ranger dome light. The OEM light bulb is a 912.The measured dimensions, for the base, the part that goes into the socket, are:9.21mm, 23/64" wide6.21mm, 1/4" long where it goes into the socket2.47mm,3/32" thick at the contacts3.45mm,17/128 at thickest pointThe measured dimensions for the base of the LED replacement are:9.02mm, 45/128" wide10mm, 51/128" long where it goes into the socket2.18mm. 3/32" thick at the contacts2.19, 11/128" at thickest point
