PERFECT for my 6 lb Shee-Poo. She uses it to get up and down from the couch. It may take a minute for your dog to warm up. I threw in nipples for her to use and it worked. She chased them straight down. To lure her back I used her toy and she chased after. She doesn't use it alone now. It also has a beautiful appearance, so you won't mind having it in your living room.
