I'm so happy that I finally found a wide winter boot for my 2 year old girl. Although it is disappointing that the product description says this boot is rated for temperatures down to -40 F and upon receipt of the tag on the boot see the attached picture it clearly says -25. We live in Maine and yes I don't take my daughter outside below 20 degrees Fahrenheit but I wanted some extra warmth as her last pair or those particular boots left her feet cold on minus days. I'll try them, but I'm annoyed! And after three minutes I compared this wide kamik with the usual ones and the inner felt liner is actually narrower. The boot itself is the same width as the regular one. Grrr. Don't worry if you need a really warm boot for your wife. Go straight to the sorels, which are warmer and, with their normal width, appear much wider than the roomy kamik.
