They are undersized. I usually take winter boots up a size so they last a few winters. My son (7) wears a size 2 or 3 depending on the brand and we had to take a size 4 for it to fit. I don't think he'll be able to put them in next winter.

These are VERY warm, well made and very high quality boots. We live in Minnesota where the air is cold enough to hurt your face. These boots are perfect for my daughter. They are waterproof, warm, well made and the seams are waterproof which is nice. Really good price which we are grateful we bought.

After reading other comments on width, I took a size 5W instead of a size 5 to replace the size 4 Sorel boots for my nine year old. The Kamik 5W boot was still too tight on the sides so we're bringing it back. The picture shows a Sorel in size 4 on the left and a Kamik 5W on the right. Doesn't look far to my eye. Someone in these reviews suggested removing the liner if it's too tight, but that doesn't seem like a smart option for winter boots.

We needed new boots that our son could grow up in for another year or hopefully longer. So far, so good! He loves them and they keep his feet warm and dry.

We've only used them once in the snow but have had no complaints of pain, cold or wetness. The lining is quite thick so it was a bit uncomfortable to put on the first few times but once he got used to it it was ok. true size.

I buy these boots for my son every year. They are well made and will keep your feet warm for hours in the snow. They are reasonably priced and great quality. I will buy him a pair again next year. The fabric of the upper itself is waterproof, but the seam where it connects to the waterproof rubber sole is not waterproof.
