This is a small and lightweight portable solid state drive. My 128GB model works with USB 3 (by far the best) or USB 2. The case is aluminum; It uses a USB-C to USB-A or -C connection, and a fairly short 6-inch C-to-A cable is included. The main problem is usually the transmission speed. Using the USB 3 port, I transferred about 120 GB in a few seconds in 15 minutes. I think that's not bad for a budget CD like this. Reading is of course much faster. I haven't measured USB-2, but obviously it's much slower. You can easily get a USB 3 flash drive with the same capacity for about 1/3 the price, so what's the deal? Obviously this is when you need speed and maybe more for relatively quick backup or temporary storage rather than archiving or long-term storage. I should note that the drive was immediately connected to my Arch Linux system. No fuss or fuss. Also, there was no unwanted and useless software on the hard drive. It was just a drive with the full available capacity. Bravo to the manufacturers for providing a clean, functional product. I give this little device 5 stars for value for money, ease of use and reasonable speed.
