Review on AUSTOR 0 8Mm Lead Solder Rosin by Brett Morrison

This solder is great for the value you get with a $10 lead-free soldering coil. The reason for my poor rating is mainly because I found that the actual melting point of the solder I received was too high for the formulation listed. However, it definitely works like solder! I may have received a mislabeled product or one of the few defective coils in the batch, who knows! I may also be prone to rechecking and recalibrating my lab equipment, but certainly not because of the $10 spool of lead-free solder I bought. I'm always skeptical, but at this price it seems a little ridiculous to waste time (which I've already spent on this review anyway). I should note that other specs appear to be accurate (e.g. dimensions verified with calipers and compliance specs). If the manufacturer's published specs were closer to actual specs, that would be 5 stars.
