I just received the Precip jacket and the very next day we had an unseasonably cold rainy day and it was the perfect time to try it! My husband and I walked in the pouring rain at our local park for about an hour and every part of me was soaked except my torso which was covered by my jacket! That was great. I used zippers to stay cooler and they worked like a charm. Definitely recommend. Of course I can't confirm the durability of the waterproofing, but if it starts to fade I just put some Nikwax on it. Tip: look for this jacket on sale. I found it for sale on Amazon, Rei, Backcountry etc.
