This Shea Butter is AMAZING. You might think that one brand is similar to the other? But I've tried a few others and found that they get grainy over time. This tube delivers rich, thick shea butter when you need it. The only thing is that it needs to be held at room temperature (or warmed up to temperature) before it's easy to squeeze out of the tube. I apply this oil to my nails EVERY night before bed. I have had split nails for TEN years now. Ever since I removed my gel polish (sadly forever!), trimmed my nails, lightly buffed and moisturized with this rich cream, I've healed those split ends. it lasted a good 2.5 months of daily attention but seriously i only had 3 nails ruining a lot of dresses and driving me crazy with their endless neckline. Being in my 60's I guess it's partly because of my age but I also live in a very dry area. The best thing you can do to permanently fix split nails is to treat them (get rid of the fungal component) with an emollient like this. every time you wash your hands. It takes a few months of dedication but I'm on maintenance mode now - LOVE my absolutely non-sag nails. I definitely recommend this Pre de Provence Shea Butter as part of my daily ritual for healthy nails. I even apply it to the ends of my hair so it doesn't fly away.
