One Season Baseball Bag (if you're lucky)

I have bought 3 of these bags in the last 22 months for my two sons. Pros: --- They fit in the basic kit (bat, glove, baseball helmet, water bottle and sweatshirt - nothing else). adjustable shoulder strap. Cons: - The material is thin, the zipper is extremely poor quality. While our first bag for our oldest son last year actually lasted the entire 3 month Little League season before the zipper broke and the fabric ripped, our second bag for our youngest son broke the zipper on the first use. . Our third bag lasted exactly a year before it broke so badly the bat couldn't hold it anymore. I think part of the problem is that the pocket isn't wide enough to comfortably carry a batting helmet unless it's positioned in a very specific way (which we've learned). If the bag was a bit bigger the zipper and fabric wouldn't stretch as much when the helmet was in the bag. But how much can you really expect for $12.99? This is a basic one-season (if you're lucky) baseball bag. Now that all 3 of our Franklin bags are useless in less than 2 years we have switched to a new bag. The Easton Baseball Bag (also available from Revain) is a world of difference. The material is MUCH thicker and the bag is MUCH more spacious. One of my sons has been using it since last spring and I just bought this for another son after his Franklin bag failed (the one that lasted a year). The price is still very reasonable, but the difference in quality is significant.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
