Don't listen to the naysayers. Those reviews were most likely written by shills for the name brand bowl. The hookah industry is filled with shills and shady practices.This bowl is terrific. It heats up nicely, retains heat well, and is made of clay. It has three separate sections for shisha that requires different packs. For example, I made a nice bowl with two sections of Zomo Cancun Sunrise and one sections of Tangier's Burley Cane Mint. It was superb, and lasted for about an hour and a half. The bowl is shallow so you don't waste shisha for these shorter sessions. The bowl is heavy, well made, and has a beautiful glaze. Much better than entering the bowl lottery to pay exorbitant prices for the name brand bowl.The fact that it's made in China is meaningless, and I'll tell you why. Most Chinese bowls are junk because they're made of ceramic. Ceramic doesn't retain heat well and makes for an uneven session. This bowl, however, is made from a white clay and as such doesn't have that problem.If you like bowls you're doing yourself a disservice by passing on this one.
