Absolutely positive, you could NEVER remove the two pieces of foil on either side of the tread. The protector itself is visibly matt. Some people just don't take instructions well, even with the helpful videos this company offers. I watched a video about the tablet that perfectly conveys how to install the switch screen protector.******************************* ** ********* **************************************** ****** *********** ** I hate glare on device screens but this matte screen protector is perfect. I have not included any pictures as they have already been submitted to show how it looks before and after but I would like to say how delighted I am with the product itself and how much protection you are getting in the packaging. As other users have said, they liked having more than one in case they messed up the application. I'll admit the third time was a joy for me, but it's user error and the perfectionist in me. I still have a small bubble taunting me, but it's on a black border so it should be good enough. Installation is easy. The ONLY suggestion I would give to manufacturers is to include an anti-static wipe. While clearing the screen before starting the process and just before removing the back cover helps, you still have plenty of time for flying things to get onto your Switch's screen. Can't help if the sticky part of the profile catches a few things on the way down (and there's not much you can do about that), but it's about the only thing I can think of to add to an already great product to improve. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to significantly reduce screen glare.
