I started using innersense about 4 years ago then switched to something else because it was too expensive. I have restarted using innersense for cleansing and conditioning again and it is definitely not the same. I had something very similar for my first laptop but it cracked after 2 years. This one seems more durable in that it is both rigid and pliant. It's sturdy, snaps on to my my MacBook pro well and fits without issue, closes without issue, doesn't obscure any features and hasn't cracked after several months of use. It doesn't have any shock absorbing qualities so it really is just to protect from dings and scratches, I travel with it in a case for those purposes but overall it's a great value.
