Review on Quiltak SG_B003GWEWYE_US by Tara Ford

Best of its kind on the market and great for using in place of pins

I have bought several different types of the same item over the last 30 or 40 years and this is the one so far best. There are two other brands of this product, both well-known brands, one or both are sold by a large chain of fabric stores. This is only sold online. The other two have large dachshunds that can't fit through the car, and both species are constantly pinching each other. Their needles were of inferior quality and seemed to break constantly and were harder to find, if at all. The dachshunds were larger and often seemed to get stuck in the car. Quiltak is by far the easiest to use and most reliable, easily outperforming the other two brands, and I know because I've had both of the other types, plus another type made specifically for button fastening. It costs money. This car has never been jammed. Yes I broke the needle but that was my fault and it comes with a spare that is easy to replace. Dachshunds are smaller and thinner, and the seller will send more taqas or more needles in just a few days. These dachshunds are so good I've sewn them with both my serger and my Solaris and they won't break the needle or damage my serger blades. I now use them almost exclusively instead of pins or staples. I've broken so many needles or damaged overlock blades that sew on needles. Quiltak also sells specialty scissors specifically designed to cut dachshunds without severing the surrounding tissue. They have what appears to be a circular cutting mechanism, similar to the blades on the clippers you use to trim your dog's claws. By the way, the dachshunds made for the other two brands are not suitable for this machine because they are not of such high quality. My husband recently used them to staple the edge of a tarp. The needle of this machine is so sharp that it could easily penetrate THREE LAYERS of tarpaulin. And as the seller recommends, you must keep the needle guard on when not in use as it is very sharp and will bleed. I have no complaints.
