I have a fan in my room that runs 24/7. I used to use a Black & Decker 9" AC desktop fan. However, the fan was very noisy and used a lot of power even at the lowest speed (35W - $55/year). The 11" COMLIFE fan is much more energy efficient (4.5W - $7/year). because it uses direct current instead of alternating current. Yes, the COMLIFE fan is a little less powerful, but it's good enough. COMLIFE has the same blowing power at high speed as Black & Decker at low speed. That's impressive because COMLIFE saves $48 a year. Second, the COMLIFE fan is about 2 times quieter than the Black & Decker fan. The COMLIFE fan is loud enough to be heard up close, but is imperceptible from across the room. If you need a small fan for 24/7 operation, the COMLIFE fan is perfect. I hope it lasts long. A NOTICE. Make sure you use a good USB power adapter for this fan to get the best performance. When I used a cheap 5W USB charger, the fan couldn't run at maximum speed. However, when I used the 12W charger, there was no problem. NOTE 2: Power was measured using my Kill a Watt electricity meter.
