I was very excited about these bags: they seemed large, easy to study and easy to fill and pour. I was hoping they could be used for drinking become water as they are advertised as BPA free and not otherwise stated in the product description [at the time of writing this review] These pouches come individually wrapped in plastic bags and are indeed large, waterproof and the lid unscrews easily struck by a strong toxic chemical/plastic smell! :( Would you drink from a mug with that smell? I wouldn't. But if it were a mug, it could be washed, sanitized, aerated and re-evaluated. You can't do these things do with these bags - I can't even clean them properly so there's no way I wouldn't use them for storing/ Carrying/storing use of drinking water - yes also temporarily Washing hands/dishes/things when camping?Yes, if I can get the smell out (leave a bag or feather outside to see if it aerates). They are easy to pack as these bags are foldable, take up little space and are very light.
