Let's get that out of the way first. It is a battery powered heat gun. If you expect hours of operation, that just doesn't happen here. Now if you want something that doesn't run on fuel, that you can take anywhere and that has a runtime measured in minutes, then this is for you. What I need? I bought this primarily to heat adhesives to reset sign logos, labels, heat shrink tubing and the occasional frozen door lock. For all these purposes it is AMAZING. It gets really hot, you only have to let it run for a minute or two before it starts working for the best experience. That's not to say it doesn't heat up quickly, it just isn't instantaneous like plug-ins. Now for the arguments: he really likes to drain his batteries quickly. I haven't measured this scientifically, but it seems like less than 20 minutes with a 6Ah battery. Keep in mind it's probably closer to 30m since I do a little running before warming up. If you can overcome this fact, you will be truly happy. Also I need a flexible 12 amp volt to see how it works. Quality as usual - DeWalt. It's a plastic body that fits well together and is shaped like a hammerless drill. While I like the way it feels, it doesn't have clips so I can hang it on my belt. I guess a lawyer somewhere told them that was a bad idea. If you found my review helpful, thank you. If not, let me know in the comments so I can fix it next time. Thank you for reading my review.
