If you have white and light acrylic markers or high-quality colored pencils (and have used them before on black paper), this sketchbook is a great place to try dramatic effects. I've always liked bright colors on black. I think I have something like a clown girl in velvet. It encourages my inner child to play with dramatic contrasts. This black spiral bound album is a great place to play. I've seen others use colored pencils on black paper like this one, but it's a bit beyond my skill set at the moment. So far I've had better luck with acrylic markers, especially pastels. So much fun! This sketchbook has a very heavy chipboard back, making it convenient to take with you on the go. The paper is not heavy enough for acrylic paint (from the tube, no markers) but works well for multimedia applications.
