I have a Quarter Horse mare who no longer needs a bit and needed a bridle that offers more structure than a halter and has a bit of buckling on the reins - especially as the halter has a tendency to when Riding to slip over the back of the head/neck. This bitless bridle was the perfect solution. Although the leather was a bit taut on arrival, a few applications of the leather conditioner made it more supple in no time. For reference, my mare is 15.1xx and has a smaller framed head. She usually wears ear-sized halters and fly masks, and a pony bridle suits her perfectly.
