Washes great! But the chalk powder was a bit clumpy, resulting in detergent residue on random clothes. This food doesn't mix well with black linen as these partially decomposed clumps have actually left ugly bleach stains on several brand new black clothes. In the future I will have to use Persil blue liquid for dark tones. Note. I have a top loading machine with no center agitator, so this may be only a small part of the problem. (Although this is a fairly new, high-tech machine, and) there really should be a clear warning on the packaging that it is NOT suitable for dark washes. I haven't seen any, and in fact this has never happened to me with other soap powders on black linen. (And I've actually accidentally used a powder detergent containing bleach on black laundry and this has never happened. Only happened with direct direct contact with liquid pure bleach in my experience to date). But for what it's worth for ordinary colored / light and white linen. worked great! Just don't use it on black underwear or on the tip loader where it sits.
