This is a great product! I own several. One for watercolor, one for gouache, and others for when I want to change color palettes. I am a plein air painter and there couldn't be a better-designed palette. It seals very nice, is quite compact, and as it is transparent, you can see the pigments at a glance. I have a Brother P-Touch label machine that I use to print the individual colors on clear labels - in very small print - in case I am unsure of the pigment. I have traveled overseas with this palette with no problems. Just remember to keep it out of the heat and fairly horizontal so pigments will not move around on you. It also seems to fit on the tray of my Plein Air Pro easel a lot better as well. If you really want to go portable, there is a thumb holder on the bottom. [NOTE:] If you like your pigments in a special order and you are left-handed, be sure you orient the palette on your right hand to determine the top and bottom. Though it looks like the top lid can simply be turned around, it can't. This palette is definitely the way to go!
