Review on Asus GT 710 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card with HDMI, VGA, and DVI - GT710-SL-2GD5-CSM by Tyler Cash

Amazingly cheap graphics card for a music machine!

I recently built an inexpensive micro-ATX computer solely for making music in my home studio. One of the components I chose for this build was the GT710 graphics card. I have a separate machine for work and play, so I really didn't need anything extra and didn't want to splurge on this thing. After some research, this seemed like a great budget graphics card for those looking to run a large monitor and/or dual monitors on a budget. The benchmarks for the GT710 are great and I love that it also has 2GB of memory. I originally bought an MSI Geforce 710. I was quick to send it back due to the very noisy fan (I chose the parts specifically to build a very quiet computer for music, but I missed the graphics card). After some research I came across this model at Revain which has a larger heatsink and no fan. I ordered it. The thing works great! It's just an amazing graphics card if you're looking for a nice and quiet computer, especially if you're doing it for a home entertainment center or music production like me. I just can't say anything bad about it. I'm just a big fan of the fanless design. It's a very low profile (pictured), enough clearance for mounting in a Micro-ATX build (I removed one of the DVI screws to make mounting easier, but that's not a big deal and is in cramped cases like mine to expect) . Just a simple, small and reliable graphics card. It does everything I need, runs my desktop in 1080p, runs all my music programs perfectly, I can watch movies and YouTube videos here without any problems. Even though it's fanless, I've never overheated it. Just a great "powerful" graphics card, I would recommend it for office and light graphics work. If you're keeping this in mind for gaming, don't expect it to play well. I'm pretty sure this thing can play low-end games when paired with a good processor (I'm running an i3 9100f with this build). But don't expect Battlefield or Metro to run on it. I'll be testing the game here soon just to see how well it holds up and posting the results. For games like Starcraft II, WoW I think this thing will hold up pretty well. But I would recommend spending a little more in this category.
