Much better than the original 2GB graphics card that came in my PC!

a solid card. The old graphics card, which is about 5 years old, started to fail. I got this new device, installed it and now all video and computer crashing issues are gone. The map is much better than what I had before - previously the performance when running Flight Simulator X was satisfactory. But now it lets me make the most of full screen resolution, landscapes, clouds, whatever, and the performance is buttery smooth! I am very happy!

WILL NOT WORK AT ALL with older BIOS based systems

The name is EXTREMELY dishonest and misleading. CSM clearly stands for something completely different than ASUS. I figured it meant compatibility with older systems that don't use UEFI as boot firmware. Obviously not. Connected but there is no video from the card. I installed all drivers from CD, website etc on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Nothing yet. The heatsinks got hot so I knew they were drawing power and I have a 300w PSU (the minimum for the card listed on the box). It says absolutely…

Good HTPC graphics for 1920x1080

I have this for my home theater, it's a first gen i5-650 so I need help. I have a UHD (4k) TV and an FHD (1920x1080) monitor on the side. It reaches around 40 degrees Celsius when idling and only around 57 degrees Celsius during operation. I have a large desktop PC case with one fan in the case and one in the power supply. I use it with Ubuntu Linux 14.04 and MythTV. 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz looks great and the CPU load is almost zero when running MythTV with the "VDPAU Advanced" setting. A big…

Good option for old macpros

I recently upgraded my macpro to 5.1 from 2009 and a month later my Hanns-g monitor died after many happy years of service. I chose the 27 inch Dell monitor because Dell is a trusted quality brand and I really liked Revain. But now I needed a new graphics card because the standard graphics card didn't have a VGA or HDMI port. After a bit of research I've decided that the GeForce GT 710 will likely be compatible with no issues - plug and play on a Mac with no drivers to install or fuss to make…

This card is "incompatible " with HP motherboard

I bought this card because the old card was making fan noise. The new card is ASUS GT710 2GB, I inserted the card and locked the machine. I've tried many things but it stops at windows startup and stays stuck forever. I called Revain, they tried to help, then put me through to ASUS, they had no idea, and told me they had no technology available and they would call me back, they never did. It's rubbish, the card that came out is a Geforce 620 with no problems. It works even if I put it back, but

Amazingly cheap graphics card for a music machine!

I recently built an inexpensive micro-ATX computer solely for making music in my home studio. One of the components I chose for this build was the GT710 graphics card. I have a separate machine for work and play, so I really didn't need anything extra and didn't want to splurge on this thing. After some research, this seemed like a great budget graphics card for those looking to run a large monitor and/or dual monitors on a budget. The benchmarks for the GT710 are great and I love that it also…

Ryzen5 2400G with Vega11 IGFX Mobo Setup + This card = No Boeno

Just a warning for those looking to add a discrete graphics card to a Ryzen5 2400G system with integrated Vega11 graphics. You can only use the dedicated GPU for the second monitor in this system configuration as the integrated graphics in the CPU does not allow you to drive the primary display from the dedicated GPU. In addition, a few UEFI BIOS settings have to be changed and drivers installed from the manufacturer's site so that the card is also recognized under Windows 10 with the latest…

Some Hints You've Probably Never Seen Before

Although my desktop computer is a business-class workstation, I bought it in its basic configuration. I did this on purpose to add my own update settings. I have a work PC for high quality video, photo and graphics editing and another for gaming, but I've wanted to be able to do both from time to time on my home PC where I usually work on projects. As they say, no one including me will ever say that this card is a high end gaming/graphics card. It's not like this. But don't think that something
