We used the 3M adhesive that is already on the back of the towel rail and applied it to the porcelain tile (as recommended and according to the little instructions included in were delivered in the box). . We decided we didn't like the look of the bathroom and wanted to take it down. You can't just peel it off though, you have to saturate it when it's gone (or some other adhesive remover) and carefully try to scrape it off with a razor. Even after the backing tape had soaked for over an hour, it still ripped off one of our tiles and damaged several others. This is by far the worst product I have ever used. The torn tile was further damaged when attempting to remove it from the back of the towel rail. We now have a broken tile that we must try to piece together (because we can't match them ANYWHERE). 0/10 I would never recommend or buy again!
